For the second year in a row, the Institute of Comparative Law in Belgrade and the Faculty of Law University of Kragujevac at the end of 2023 announced a competition to select the best scientific paper for “Stefan Andonović PhD” award. The award topic was announced under the title “The legal framework of artificial intelligence – potential and risk in the future”. Professor Vuk Cucić from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, Professor Zoran Jovanović from the Faculty of Law of the University of Kragujevac, Dragan Prlja PhD, Research Associate at the Institute of Comparative Law, Assistant professor Dragan Dakić from the Faculty of Law of the University of Kragujevac and Petar Mijatović, a lawyer from Belgrade made up the commission for evaluation of works.

Seven works were received, and according to the commission members, they are all of high quality. The sum of the ratings of the works decided the first, second, and third prizes, as follows:

3rd prize “Stefan Andonović PhD” won the paper entitled The impact of artificial intelligence on the position of persons with disabilities, authored by Ljubomir Tintor, associate researcher of the Institute of Comparative Law;

2nd prize “Stefan Andonović PhD” won the paper entitled International Legal Regulation of Autonomous Weapon Systems (AWS), authored by Janko Balšić, a second-year PhD student at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade,

1st prize “Stefan Andonović PhD” won the paper entitled Legal framework for the protection of computer programs with special reference to artificial intelligence “CHATGPT”, authored by Antonije Živković, a PhD student at the Faculty of Law, University of Kragujevac.
