On June 25, 2024, a scientific conference and promotion of the collection of papers Law and public activities – Liber amicorum Jovica Trkulja, co-published by Institute of Comparative Law, took place at the Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade. The attendees were greeted by acting director of the Institute of Comparative Law, prof. Dr. Jelena Ćeranić Perišić, who emphasized the connections between Professor Trkulja and the Institute and its researchers. She also expressed her satisfaction that the Institute is one of the co-publishers of the collection that contains the papers of many ICL’s researchers. In addition to Prof. Ćeranić Perišić, the gathering was also addressed by prof. Dr. Zoran Mirković, dean of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, prof. Dr. Budimir Košutić, reviewer of the Collection and prof. Dr. Slobodan Vukadinović, editor of Collection.
During the working part of the conference, research associate Vladimir Mikić presented his paper on the topic “Half a century of “bad aging”: why did the Yugoslavia Constitution of 1974 not acquire “citizenship status” in modern comparative constitutionalism?”, prof. Dr. Jelena Ćeranić Perišić, with her topic “Eden’ s plan – (forgotten) episode from the history of European integrations”, then Dr. Milica Matijević, research associate with a presentation on the concept of prolonged displacement in theory and practice, as well as Vasilije Marković, research assistant with the topic “Đorđe Tasić and the concept of subjective (public) law – between Leon Duguit and Hans Kelsen”. At the very end of the conference, Prof. Trkulja himself addressed the attendees with appropriate and warm words of gratitude.
