The scientific conference “Reform of the Judicial System of Serbia” was held in the co-organization of the Institute for Comparative Law

The scientific conference “Reform of the Judicial System of Serbia” organized by the Union University Law School, the Institute of Comparative Law and the Association of Lawyers of Serbia was held on May 12th and 13th at the Union University Law School. Participants in the conference were renowned representatives of the Serbian judiciary, such as judges, deputy public prosecutors, attorneys, notaries public and enforcement officials. Joining renowned speakers, prof. Vladimir Čolović, PhD, Scientific Advisor at the Institute of Comparative Law, presented the topic “Application of Foreign Law and the Status of Foreign Decisions” while Ana Knežević Bojović, PhD, Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Comparative Law, elaborated on “New competences of the  High Judicial Council – European standards, comparative practices and developments in Serbia”. Each panel was followed by a fruitful discussion about best solutions and potential amendments that would improve the judicial system of Serbia.

On February 21, 2023, the "Judicial Reform Conference" organized by the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia was held in the "Hyatt Regency" hotel.
