Cryptocurrencies and International Payments + Tax Aspects

The Institute of Comparative Law is organizing a roundtable discussion on:
“Cryptocurrencies and International Payments + Tax Aspects”
to be held on October 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM,
at the Conference Hall of the Institute of Comparative Law (Terazije 41, Belgrade).

The discussion will cover the practical use of cryptocurrencies for fast, secure, and efficient international payments, as well as an analysis of Bitcoin as a reliable store of value in times of global inflation.

A special segment will focus on the tax treatment of cryptocurrencies, particularly capital gains tax, with emphasis on cases where cryptocurrencies are converted multiple times into different tokens or currencies before being withdrawn as cash.
