We are pleased to invite you to the international scientific conference “Twenty Years of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities“ organized by the Institute of Comparative Law and the Faculty of Law, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. The conference will be held on September 25 and 26, 2025 at the Institute of Comparative Law, Terazije 41, Belgrade.
The conference will bring together prominent domestic and international scholars and experts to review the achievements in implementing the UNCRPD over the past two decades. The event will provide an opportunity to examine the challenges and future directions in the implementation of the UNCRPD.
In addition to the plenary session, the conference will feature the following panels:
- Conceptual Issues – Equality, Non-Discrimination and Awareness Raising
- Women and Children with Disabilities
- Accessibility, Personal Mobility and Health
- Work and Employment
- Living Independently and Being Included in the Community; Adequate Standard of Living and Social Protection
- Political Rights and Multi- Sectorial Issues
